James Flaherty

Jay is Managing Partner of Corby 2.0, LLC and Chairman of VSCP's Strategic Advisory Board. These two entities invest in a variety of healthcare and healthcare real estate transactions. Previously, Jay was Managing Partner of NorthStar Healthcare Finance (2014-2017) and Chairman and CEO of HCP, Inc. (2002-2013), the third largest REIT in the United States. Prior to joining HCP, Jay served at Merrill Lynch & Co. (1983-2002) in a variety of investment banking, capital markets and private equity functions, and was head of Merrill Lynch's Global Healthcare Group. Jay serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Notre Dame and as a director at America Corporate Partners. He received a BBA in accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1979 and earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1983.

David Kushner

David is a Founding Partner at Global Asset Management Consultants, an organization dedicated to providing strategic advice to the front, middle and back offices in the Financial Services and Asset Management Industries. David has more than 39 years of investment management experience and served as the Chief Investment Officer for the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA, a $49 billion public pension trust) and the San Francisco Employees Retirement System (SFERS, a $19 billion public pension trust). As CIO at LACERA and SFERS, David was responsible for developing and implementing innovative investment approaches in Real Estate, Equities, Fixed Income and Alternative Investments (including Private Equity, Venture Capital, Distressed Debt, Commodities, Oil and Gas and Opportunistic Credit). Under his leadership, both organizations established new manager relationships, entered new markets, adopted leading edge investment strategies and enhanced risk management capabilities. In addition to his time as a plan sponsor, David also has experience in the asset management industry, having served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at ING responsible for all U.S. equity investments, as well as having managed his own investment advisory firm. He has a BS in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Florida and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation.

Henry Workman

Since 1990, Henry has been the president of a privately held real estate firm owned by a prominent West Los Angeles developer and investor. For the past 29 years, he has managed the family office overseeing all aspects of wealth and financial interests with primary responsibility for managing a real estate portfolio valued in excess of $100 million. Previously, Henry was a commercial real estate broker specializing in multifamily property sales. During that time, he handled sales of investment properties totaling in excess of $75 million. Henry attended University of California, Berkeley.
